Hehehehe :D

BTW I found my spare GALs and ordered the 74HC404 & 74HC165 before I left for France. That means I can be very impatient when I get home :)

So, I've decided (Likely under the influence of a nice Merlot) that I'm going to have another crack at building the SMD version of the CDP1861 since I have spare boards, so I'm going to put in a Digikey order just before we head home.

Of course I'm still building the through hole version, but I'd like to know the SMD version works :)

I must be mad.

:dizzy:

I'm getting a bit dim in my old age.

I arrived home from holiday having ordered what I thought was a dip packaged 74HC4040 and 74HC165for the through hole version of the CDP1861.

Only I managed to order one dip and one tssop...

No merlot involved in this one, just not paying attention.

Correct part now ordered (I hope!)
