I was really very close to having a massive rant at the Post Office, as my parcel was shown as delivered at 11:45 today, but no parcel here and none with either neighbour.

Then the postie rocks up at 13:20 and hands the package to my wife who was outside hoovering her car!!

I have just given it a quick try and it works great! I have an Apple Christmas rolling demo running right now!!

Also better since I turned the colour killer switch to off :) Picture isn't astounding, but it's OK.

Also, I made the rookie mistake of dropping the FDD controller in slot 7 rather than 6 and a bunch of stuff just said "Must be run from slot 6"

Corrected now and the other cool thing is that it proves the home-brew FDD controller works :)

An easy way of checking if you can do double hi res is to run Prince of Persia (which will also test the extra RAM).

So, Prince of Persia runs just fine, so I guess I have double hi-res :) Doesn't kind of match with what I've read, but it is a European Apple ][e and I've heard there are variances.

Pretty cool though, I'm happy.

RAM module is very cool, you can choose from 5 options:

1. 64Kb
2. 512Kb
3. 1Mb
4. 4Mb
5. 8Mb

Plus you can store the configuration you want to use in NV memory so that it always starts the RAM in your desired configuration.
