Here is a very clumsy complete playthrough of Monkey Island 2 on my stock Falcon (16 Mhz / 14 Megs RAM) with an MT32.
Best to just click and jump around to see and hear things as the video is 4 hrs long....
Very well done a I was able to complete the game! Thank you!
I want to try to do Fate of Atlantis next if I can squeeze out the time.

Re: WIP Atari ST ScummVM-lite
Tried DOTT with latest version of tentacle.prg (200501) and a clone of COVOX on my Atari TT. It didn't work. But I don't know if it works at all. Does anyone know if there are any programs/trackers or games that use the thing on Atari ST? Tried to google without any great luck.

Re: WIP Atari ST ScummVM-lite
Played Fate of Atlantis on my Falcon and TT with a MT-32. It played fine on both machines except for close up scenes with animation. For example early in the game Indy opens a statue and it slows down quite a bit on the Falcon. It is a bit better on the TT, but certainly not smooth.
Other than that though, wow! I am impressed on how well it looks in 16 colors. The only issue with colors I noticed is on the interactive map. When you choose your flight destination there is a line drawn following your plane and it is the same color blue as the ocean. Not an issue to me, but just something I noticed.
Thanks so much for your efforts. My TT and my MT-32 thank you.

Created a thread here on emulating MT-32 on RPi accepting MIDI from the ST: https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewt ... =35&t=2718

That's the exact one I am waiting for delivery on! :)DoG wrote: 04 May 2020 13:50 Tried DOTT with latest version of tentacle.prg (200501) and a clone of COVOX on my Atari TT. It didn't work. I'm going to give it my best shot at getting it working with that one when it arrives - I rather not listen to speech played through the YM chip anymore, it sounds terrible and its slow..

Hmm. It seems that it only provides low level line from the covox and need an amplifier to work. I just hooked it up to speakers since it have a 3,5mm jack on it. So let's say I haven't tested that part... yet. :? :lol:agranlund wrote: 05 May 2020 23:39That's the exact one I am waiting for delivery on! :)

I can now verify that the CVX4 from Serdashop works great!DoG wrote: 06 May 2020 01:01 Hmm. It seems that it only provides low level line from the covox and need an amplifier to work. Sounds better than emulating a DAC with the YM chip that's for sure :yay2:
(Yep, it has line level output so it needs to be hooked up to some kind of amplifier or active speakers)

We're getting somewhere! :-D
Text and background tiles are quite a bit faster, still got sprites to do though.
Difference between now and May1 build on 8Mhz:

Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.
