It seems they have started to ship it from the end of October according to their web shop:

https://shop.terraonion.com/shop/produc ... n-ode/view

And yes, its price is quite unbearable, and you have to add 23 Euros for shipping fees.

:o
The web site is a bit contradictory, saying in one place June/July, another says October and all seem to say pre-order...

I just don't want to spend that on a console that only cost £50.
For sure, I totally agree... Even if the mod seems interesting.

So, Sega Rally arrived today. Daytona USA was supposed to arrive, however what was in the box was actually Manx TT Superbike!!

The game worked, just waiting to hear from the seller, see if we can fix it somehow.

Sega Rally on the other hand runs great, speedwise it's very similar to my Dreamcast, but obviously its 3 years prior to the DC version, so the screen resolution is nowhere near as good.

I must say I am quite impressed so far with the Saturn.

I like the Acorn/Atari background to that image. :-)
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

 that wasn't deliberate, but it does work very well :)

I just got a refund from the seller, so can't really complain, especially since he's not asked me to return what arrived.

Manx TT isn't a bad game. Plus you can now look to buy the Championship Edition of Daytona :)

Yes, it seems OK as it goes, and perhaps a blessing in disguise as you say, I can get the Championship edition instead.

EDIT - just ordered the Championship Edition from CEX via that link :)

Also, why is Panzer Dragoon so expensive?

Not quite sure. It sold millions so there should be lots of them out there. I can only guess that being a launch title it is one than has most nostalgia and so anyone acquiring a Saturn wants to buy it. And after buying it... never sells.

I've got a copy, I don't play it, I've got an modchip in one Saturn and ODDE in the other so I don't need it. But I wouldn't sell it...

It's one of those games that you might have to buy another Saturn to get at a sensible price.

It is definitely an oddity, and I will get an ODE at some point so it won't be a problem. I've also got Sega Ages 1 coming. I was a big fan of Afterburner, Outrun and especially Space Harrier in the arcades, so be nice to see them running on the Saturn.

If you have the region free stuff sorted you can save a lot of money (sadly less so as time goes on) by buying Japanese copies of suitable games. A lot of the non-RPG ones are mostly in English or don’t rely heavily on language, and come in proper jewel cases rather than the horrid flimsy card and plastic efforts the UK ones do.

Also to offer a dissenting opinion on Daytona, I much prefer the original version to the Circuit editions despite the big graphical deficiencies.

Just had a mega 4, a 520ST (I think I have at least one of each version now I've lost count as I'm sure many of you also do), A Spectrum +2 black and a spectrum +3 (just ordered two new psu's as I didn't like the look of the rusty old ones I should make some but meh).

Happy Christmas
