All 3 boards are tested and working. I think the 2 dev boards have a few bodge wires on the back, but are otherwise good once I drop a suitable ROM in. The one I do have installed has TOS 2.06 and Emutos.
Did R1C have bodge wires on the bottom ? Looking at my files I did other revisions...

R1F looks like I got those made at JLC, but no idea if those were tested.

Thanks, yeah there is some swapped pins on the R1F, so likely those wire fixes. Also looks like a huge layout tidy up as well.

I will have to build one up at some point. They be useful for H4 and original machines I suppose.
I do have a couple of H4s, I should get on with them and I at least have these IDE boards to get on with. I will possibly throw them in my Megas though.

I've got a couple of these to build up too, think they will need bodge wires though
One thing to bear in mind though, I have no idea what firmware goes into these things any more.. unless it is posted in this topic somewhere...
Possible maybe @rubber_jonnie could read and dump the versions he has at some point, firmware may all be the same, but no idea after all these years..
I think the CPLDs (If that is what they are) came pre programmed form you exxos, unless of course it's far enough back that I don't recall programming them...
All I remember programming was the DualTOS ROM. I certainly don't see anything related hanging around in my Atari folders.
If you tell me what's needed to read them I can certainly give it a go.

@JezC@rubber_jonnie Can't really remember anymore.. I might have assumed nobody had a ATMEL programmer and pre-programed them.. If you have the PLD already then it be a matter of following the threads to see what mods were done..
If the chips came with the kits, then there's probably no point doing anything @rubber_jonnie Theres no more of those boards out there AFAIK.. and if chips came with them anyway..
The firmware definitely changed a fair bit in the last revision (R1F). It looks like I was trying to use the smaller 1504 PLD, but it wouldn't compile, so I had to move a few pins about to get it all the "fit". The last code revision looks to match the last PCB revision (R1F) so I assume it was just left an estate workers literally need building and testing..

Pretty sure I don't have an Atmel programmer, certainly not for a CPLD that size. I think my TL866 does smaller Atmel stuff, certainly can't cope with anything that big. Doesn't the board have a JTAG header? Could it be done using that?

Yeah its the larger connector next to the PLD...

Problem is I don't know if the chips were protected or not.. Quite possibly they are protected... But I guess you could see if your programmer would even recognise the device..
Though at the time I was doing this stuff you had to had the official ATMEL programmer... Maybe things have changed now.. @agranlund@PhilC ?
