Like it!
How about replacing the multi-turn pot with a motorcyle twist throttle too?
You'll have to make your own 'vrooom vroooooom' noises, though.

Some of those Plastic CPUs from 1996 are pretty good. No problem at all at 50mhz.
What speed have you got out of it so far @exxos ?

I know what I have done now :headbang: I pulled one of the pins of the chip lifting it from the board to change the frequency to the 50Mhz range.. Only it isn't is it it's 100Mhz.. And I can't solder the pin back on because it snapped off :( I don't think I have any spares either :(

Is there any bit of metal showing? You can probably blob up against it enough for contact. It doesn't have to carry any current.

It is totally gone.. Corner of the packages also gone :(Badwolf wrote: 22 Sep 2022 14:51 Is there any bit of metal showing? You can probably blob up against it enough for contact. It doesn't have to carry any current.
Been hunting around to see if I could find any spare chips, but it was like 2016 when they was built.. I have problems finding stuff I ordered last week
Used to have a box with all the spares in it I can even visualise it but I had a tidy up a couple years back
I did have one of these modules on the original TF536.. but I cannot find that either but I chucked a lot of that stuff away a few months ago.

Half way there already, then!
Dremel time! *
I tried to buy an RCO a while ago. Couldn't find one. Found a VCO or two but would need a change in the pot configuration.

* Yes, I'm aware how tiny these are and how futile that would be, I lifted mine and put tape under that leg to go from 100 to 50, but then again I needed to :P
