The DC equivalent is called GDEMU by Deunan Knute

https://gdemu.wordpress.com/

He seems to have stopped selling them though.

We wouldn't buy a TerribleFire cloned card (would we?) but the the card has been cloned and so they are 1/8th the original price on AliExpress.

Remeber to get a 5.20.3 version (latest version 100% game compatibility) as Deunan has removed all links to updated FW due to lots of helpdesk calls when things went wrong.

Yep, GDEMU, had forgotten the name, I've been looking at Ali Express for them, also it seems they only work with VA1s, which thankfully I have. Good to know about the version numbers too.

Well, I somehow won the auction for Daytona: USA, so this is on the way :)

This Saturn version of Daytona was a big disappointment to me. The pop-in is terrible.

The re-release : Daytona USA: Championship Circuit Edition is much better but still not perfect.

Daytona USA 2001 on Dreamcast is much better.

If I'm honest, I put a bid in thinking I'd lose it, and got a surprise when I won for under a tenner :)

Once I get a Fenrir next year (I hope!) I'll pull down all the games and try the later vesrion.

It's a shame, but at €202 and needing one each for the Dreamcast and Saturn, it's just a bit too much. If it were that price for two I'd consider it, but not each. Not available until June/July next year either :(

Looks really nice though and at least I know about it if I change my mind.

Mode is a total ripoff imo, I got a Fenrir and it's brilliant. You certainly want to install a 50/60hz mod so that you can play Japanese and USA games at the proper speed. My Saturn came with one already fitted so I don't have the details on the installation. But if you can find it out I think it's essential. You hold the reset switch down for a few seconds and the region changes with the colour cycling of the power led (red orange and green)

It seems they have started to ship it from the end of October according to their web shop:

https://shop.terraonion.com/shop/produc ... n-ode/view

And yes, its price is quite unbearable, and you have to add 23 Euros for shipping fees.

The web site is a bit contradictory, saying in one place June/July, another says October and all seem to say pre-order...

I just don't want to spend that on a console that only cost £50.
