Paul are you using my CF ? if yes make sure you rename the ehide.device to scsi.device, and basically if you then just just drop it into the Devs folder and it should work, also you can use loadmodule to install it, put this in the startup sequence before the setpatch command `c:loadmodule devs:scsi.device noreboot`
Also you cannot boot from the ehide.device only from the A1200 ide first so the IDE port on the TF1260 is more like a Slave device

Re: TF1260 stuff
@trixster search for 'Blower Fan'
It was just in my magic (junk) box :)
@PhilC with a Rev6 060 installed I am pretty sure the CLPDs running hotter. That is what my finger tells me! Yes not ideal, but there should be movement of air. I don't have any thermocouples so will just have to run it and then open the case and feel around.

Re: TF1260 stuff
I'm using a 3.1.4 install, and tried using it but I think it is clashing with something else as my image is quite busy.supaduper wrote: 19 Mar 2021 19:42 Paul are you using my CF ? if yes make sure you rename the ehide.device to scsi.device, and basically if you then just just drop it into the Devs folder and it should work, also you can use loadmodule to install it, put this in the startup sequence before the setpatch command `c:loadmodule devs:scsi.device noreboot`

I will have another look tomorrow and try that loadmodule, cheers.

It's fine, I'm sure I will sort it out. I have these little 16GB boards that are crying out for a use case.

Re: TF1260 stuff
@Higgy cool, was wondering at the dimensions of the one you’re using? Is it loud when using just 5v?

There will be a driver for the Tf1260 IDE available soon

Re: TF1260 stuff
@trixster it is a bm5115-04w-b49
There are probably newer versions. ~50mm X 15
It is a little loud, but I hope i can just get away with using it above 50mhz.
12v 30x30x10mm fans at 5v are almost silent. But it is positioning them.
I just been watching demos @50mhz for 30mins and the results are excellent. The closest CPLD is cold. The CPU and other CPLD just feel room temp not hot at all.
Right now up to 66mhz!

Re: TF1260 stuff
The buscpld seems to get hotter than the ramcpld on my board. I've got a little blower fan now too, just working out the best place to put it. I have 2 25x25 low profile heatsinks coming for the cplds.
The blower has an inline resistor to lower the noise somewhat. It was still too loud running at just 5v

The fan voltage header on the Tf1260 is 12V.. just for reference.trixster wrote: 20 Mar 2021 14:35 The buscpld seems to get hotter than the ramcpld on my board.
