I understand it is based on third party code. I'm not sure what was modified in Steem.

I think there is also an ARM MCU based project with HD6301 emulation, but can't find it right now.
Thank you, this code would be pretty difficult to port to this chip, but who knows I might have some time in the future?

I started working on hardware, my previous attempts were, lets call it naive, I was simply not ready to design hardware and PCB.

I spent some time to acquired needed skills, so this time there is more changes to complete this project.

It will use 3 USART one for debugging, one to talk to keyboard (maybe I will be able to pass data from keyboard to atari when usb is not connected? and last one to talk to Atari itself.

I started working on PCB, but there is stuff I can't remember how to wire, so initial version will be VERY dirty. As long as it works I am fine with it.
