? How do you get 1 MB chip without an expansion?8 Bit Dreams wrote: 14 Mar 2020 21:43 if You install 8372 - You will not need this additional refresh circuit anymore and Your Amiga will run more stable, but You will have 1MB of Chip ram, wich isn't enough for some games and programs..

Re: Tf534 problem with IDE speed
Be careful while removing Agnus if You don't have a proper plcc extractor. you can push Agnus out of the socket from underside, there are two holes in the motherboard.
Remove PCB and wire and then reset jumpers to 8372 settings, and You'll be good.
Adding trapdoor expansion will increase risk of instability as ram timings will be slightly shifted. this is something we had on TF530 build with PeteAUs expansion where GARY adapter for SlowRAM was used..

Re: Tf534 problem with IDE speed
I didn't know replacing the existing chips with bigger ones would work without more mods. My Rev 5 doesn't have unpopulated RAM holes. I will consider that if I cant' get the expansion to work reliably.

Re: Tf534 problem with IDE speed
Replacing 4 existing chips with bigger ones was meant to @kulamario's rev.6
Rev.5 Motherboards need more modifications to make it possible
