I now have most parts soldered to the board.
I'm leaving out the two connectors at the top right until I'm ready to test them. I have currently got two spacers screwed in their place so I'd rather keep those for now.
There are a few parts I'm currently not sure I have the right ones:
- Chrystal 32.0000 MHz: isn't this supposed to be 32.xxxx?
- Header strips: how long do the leads need to be? I'm pretty sure the keyboard header should have about 8mm long leads, so default length doesn't work there. But what about the RAM board connectors?

Re: Sandord - progress
I used normal header pins for RAM & KB headers... but have to use proper Falcon RAM card for that as my blue card I think needs longer pins..
32mhz will work, just will show 99% speed. 32.08 is what I am going for now , (100%)

32.0000 MHz will work but you won’t get 100% scores in GEMBench. You can swap it for a 32.084988 MHz to get 100% scoressandord wrote: 07 Nov 2018 21:46 I now have most parts soldered to the board.

For the RAM board header pins. If you have the Exxos SIMM ram board then you will need very long pins. An original Falcon board doesn’t need to be as long.
Having long header pins are good as you can also use them on the monitor and floppy un-f*ck boards

Just took a look at the height of headers. This is what I orderedIcky wrote: 07 Nov 2018 22:0132.0000 MHz will work but you won’t get 100% scores in GEMBench. You can swap it for a 32.084988 MHz to get 100% scoressandord wrote: 07 Nov 2018 21:46 I now have most parts soldered to the board.

The brown ones seem to be from Preci-dipsandord wrote: 06 Nov 2018 15:44 Ah, so I got it the other way around. Funny, the brown one seems to be of much higher quality.

Ah, thanks. I have no idea why Farnell decided to put that one in my package while I ordered 3M sockets only.IngoQ wrote: 08 Nov 2018 11:50 The brown ones seem to be from Preci-dip

I'm pretty sure that was the reason yes
I used it for the blitter, which I'm probably not going to install anyway.

Ugh, so I soldered half of the resistor arrays backwards. I somehow thought that they were serial networks but obviously they're parallel with a common ground. :x
Luckily I have a very good solder sucker since a few weeks!
