I presume you mean !Boot.Choices.Boot.Predesk?

IMG20250228114103.jpg

It boots but I get an error when it loads:

And then I get the filter manager error again :(

Copy the attached FilterManager (unzip it on your Mac/PC desktop) into your PreDesk folder in !Uniboot and you should be able to run !Arcweb without launching !PrintWeb.
OK, that's done and working after a few false starts. The filetype was wrong, so I changed it from 'Data' to 'Obey', but it still didn't work, so I looked at my existing !FilterMgr file in Modules, and it should be set to 'Module' for the file type.

Once changed it all seems to work just fine now, at least from a filter manager PoV.

As a web browser it's a bit flawed, and takes up nearly 1MB RAM, but it's all I got :)

It's been a hard project from the off, with definite bumps in the road, but very happy with the outcome :)

One final thing (I hope) regarding the A5000.

I recently changed the VGA display I was using on the right of my desk (I have 2 displays side by side for work) to match the one on the left.

The only issue was that the new display didn't have VGA in, meaning I couldn't plug the A5000 in directly. So I bought a VGA to HDMI adapter, however I had no output.

After a bit of digging I found that the A5000 uses ID pins to detect what display is connected, so I used this VGA pinout from the service manual:

I used the 15 pin side to guide wiring a straight though male to female VGA adapter:

The only thing that wasn't straight through was pin 11, which I wired directly to pin 10 (GND) to make the A5000 think it had a VGA monitor connected. I checked pin 11 of the original display and that was connected to GND which explains why it worked no problems with that.

And now the VGA to HDMI works just fine :)

I just need to find a box for the adapter to go in.
