Ok, thanks.

I'm curious what the result will be.
OK, so with Paul's !Boot unchanged !FTPc has proper menus, but it completely breaks my network connectivity, and I don't seem to be able to repair it.

However I did note that when I dropped in my boot customisations etc into the choices folder, it broke !FTPc. A clue perhaps.

I would add that getting my desktop customisations back was a breeze, but I'm getting the old issues back with the NIC in that it can ping itself but nothing else.

Did you check the Internet settings ?

The automatically selected NIC could be the wrong one.

I did check several times and there is only one NIC and it was correct.

However I noticed that there were some modules missing, which I added from my known good working !Boot folder into Paul's. ! now have working networking again and I also have !FTPc working :)

What a trial!!

So next I want to put back my desktop customisations and it should be good :) I'll let you know shortly.

All sorted.

Networking all good, !FTPc all good and all my desktop customisations are back.

Might try web browsing next...

Is definitely an appropriate response :)

OK, so web browsing has another interesting issue, both with ArcWeb and Webster. This is the error I get for Arcweb:

They start just fine as it goes, but I'm guessing some sort of config is required in order for them to open web sites. I'll go down this particular rabbit hole another day though as I want to bask in my success from this morning for a bit :)

IIRC, I had to add some libraries in order to have Arcweb working.
