No harm in trying. I gave up looking on there, as always ended same way, they would list them, then it would not arrive, then I would open up a dispute, then mostly get money back, then the chip would vanish off the site, and re-appear under a different seller a couple months later.. rinse and repeat... Mostly I just emailed asking if they have stock, and they would say no, and it would vanish off the site for a couple months again.

Hope you get one though, bit of a big investment if I brought a lot of them.. though at the price they are its just getting silly anyway. Think I was having to list them at £28 in my store, by time I paid postage and fees etc, and some of them wouldn't work either  Just ends up spending like £250 just to make £1 a chip if I am lucky.

Its why I am trying to move to FPGA stuff, as pushing £20-30 for a blitter now.... BEST has them $40, so not cheap their either... its just the way things are going unfortunately, no source for the chips anymore :(

This was for something else I was trying to buy this week..

I think people just have some huge IC list and list everything regardless if they can actually get it or not. It's becoming a problem a problem to find anything these days :(

Agree it’s becoming hit or miss (mostly miss) these days with ordering certain things online.

Well we’ll see how this goes. Probably find out in a months time.

When your running bench6 its painfully apparent when the bitter is missing. :( :( :( I'm tempted to get one from best. I noticed on the 1040 schematic there's a 4.7k on each side of W4. On my board fine as long as W4 is shorted but when the Blitters in and W4 is open BGACK has no pull-up. I noticed on EBAY there's a SMT 144 pin that has everything in it. Is it out of a TT or Falcon? Not that I'd want to solder that puppy but what's it for?. Just a hodge-podge of thoughts..

:threadjacked: :thanksyellow: :dizzy:

Pull-up is there... The other side is of the modifications was done right from the start to add missing pull-up resistors.

Yes, when I built mine I saw the 4.7k on the other side of W4 so I didn't add the pull-up. Guess I'll need to add it if I pop a blitter in.

I got a Mega STE not long ago and I never noticed the different chips. I just removed the ole HD which was full of errors and put in a SCSI2SD which works good but is a little slower that the Ultra Satan.

I got bored today waiting for parts so I thought I would try and mount the PSU how it should be.

Several nylon spacer manipulations later and I got it on top of the board

The PSU is very snug up against the RAM board. If I move the HxC around over the top of the righthand side of the board I could mount the keyboard onto the front of that perspex.

Should of stopped a long time ago today but I went a head and moved the HxC and started fitting fixings for the keyboard

I have created a monster

My goal here is just to make it easier to use and move this around in one go as space is a premium.

Not worth trying to fit it into a real case as it won't fit with all the patches etc.

Plus I still need to get to it and pull it apart as more is worked into this board.

Nice! Yeah the ram card was located flush with the front of the PSU.. Question really is if there is enough space in a real case for it to still fit under the keyboard.. Would assume so as I think its located lower on the falcon..
