@rubber_jonnie

Ok, just checked my NIC settings:

AUN and ACCES are in ROM, but they are not enabled in the Network Configuration panel:

ACCESS.JPG

And here are the other Internet settings:

2.JPG
3.JPG
4.JPG
5.JPG

Don't know if that helps though...

Anyway, let me know even if you have an ounce of any kind of progress.

Thanks for those, appreciate you taking the time.

Aside from the differences in IP address I'm set up the same, so I don't know what's going on with FTPc. Possibly the only other difference is that I use a HOSTS file for some local addressing, otherwise I'm using the same external DNS addresses as you too.

I'm just taking a full backup of the machine over to an NFS share using Sunfish. That will give me 2 complete backups of the boot drive locally, one on SCSI the other on IDE, and then a full backup of everything on my server, so that should give me plenty of room for recovery if I need to.

Same happened as with my copy, it tried to connect using FTPS not FTP. No joy.

BTW I downloaded the latest version, 1.56 and it doesn't crash with AcornSSL installed from the ROOL hard disk image. I class that as progress, however looking at the manual it seems there should be options to pick from the FTPc menu, but security for example has nothing in the list and according to the manual it should have several options to pick from.

So I need to have a closer look as to why that is, perhaps delete the existing config files and start again.

Yes, I have these options available in my settings.
