Hmm... I might have to invest in the proper ROM adapter for my programmer.
You think an emuTOS ROM would fix it possibly? Also moving to a proper H5 board. @exxos
That's the plan for now.

Re: Atari 1040STF with TF536 20 bombs
Quick question, which points should I test the signal on to see if they're good? I've got a 100MHz/1GSa 'scope I can use to probe around and see, I'm guessing DMA is a good place to check? Thanks everyone.
I think at this point it's the mainboard and not anything on the actual TF536. Phoenix H5 will be coming soon!
I could slam in a 16MHz booster and some RAM upgrades and sell it off potentially, since I've got a bad board with good chips to make the Phoenix from. I just need another case, I'm in the US if anyone wants to help me with that :)

Checked a lot of stuff with the oscilliscope, a lot of the voltages were low or wonky and signals were also generally not quite right, I have new 2.2K resistor packs coming and a 10k for the DMA pullup, I'll be testing it out the new bus resistor packs as a final guess, and if it doesn't fix it then it's $250 or possibly more into a Phoenix board.

It probably the same problem many of us went through with these adapters. You need two bodge wires to fix this.Astal wrote: 09 Sep 2022 20:25 ...also the ROM adapter I got off eBay to program is SHOCKINGLY not working... Ha. Don't want to fork out the $80 for a proper one from Batronix but I might have to...

I broke it removing the socket as I thought that could be the issue, the PCB was so cheap the pads just lifted without any stress on it. I'll get another off Amazon or something and try it with the bodges.
