I enjoyed your post on EAB

Wishing to have one to have fun with, but realizing I am not part of the 'chosen' ring (no complaint here, I well understand terriblefire's motivations, and if he knows me a bit, he also knows my points of view).

But grant me a hint: where did you get those A1200 edge connectors from ?
I would need a few for a prototype of a tiny project I am developing...

@alenppc did a bulk order of 200. I took 50 or so.

After my non-bevelled/chamfered 1B motherboard munched the edge connector :o I was :cry: .
But now the TF is back again and fixed I am "I have the power!" :D :ugeek:

Its been an emotional journey. So glad that Stephen's hard work is being experienced by others. And a big thanks to the builders. 8-)

Right, now who puts the 'H' into Heath Robinson, Higgy does :lol:
I was chatting to Daedalus last night with a few cooling ideas. Now this is the one I have currently gone for. I am using a 12V fan but running it off the 5V Floppy supply on the Gotek header. Using a 3-wire fan gives potential to control speed with Solas and then run it at 12V for mega speed.
I was thinking of wiring a simple switch inline to the 5V for on/off as I don't think it is needed at 50Mhz, only when hitting the demos, and with the music up you can't hear the fan spinning :lol:
Anyone spot anything dangerous with the plan/execution?

@Higgy you'd probably benefit from making some kind of ducting to send the air in the right direction and bear in mind that you'll send warm air from the cpld then onto the 060, I suspect the 060 is going to need more cooling of the two.

Cooling is something I'm thinking about now I've got mine ip and running. I'm thinking about some kind of heat pipe laptop affair
