Main summary of changes (apart from some bug fixes):

rev1: maskset 01F43G (1994, engraved 0.60µm)
rev2: maskset 01G65V (1996, engraved 0.60µm)
rev5: maskset 74E41J (1998, engraved 0.42µm) - note that max 80Mhz was achieved according to weblink.
rev6: maskset 71E41J (1999, engraved 0.32µm)

I guess 'WhichAMIGA' prog is key here as it can read the Rev number. I am sure we have all heard about the effort gone to by people removing original markings and re-printing with Rev 6 maskset numbers!!!
Some of this info is incorrect, according to Chucky. 01G65V should be a rev 5.

Rev 1s should be able to run at 66, so hopefully this should make most people happy.

This was a dump of the rev5 I had.

This one is different again...same mask, different revision number..

Mostly I found REV1's would clock to 66MHz. REV5 would clock to 75MHz. REV6 95MHz.

Because of the amount of fakes and reprinted CPUs out there, it's hard to objectively figure out which mask is the correct one, but technically rev 1s should only be 01F43G. The plus side is that all the EC models with that mask ID still had the FPU.

Yeah I agree. You can't tell by what's printed on the CPU anymore either. China are slapping REV6 numbers on the whole lot these days. Sometimes I could get a run on 20 genuine REV6s, then the next 20 only 2 would be genuine. But how it looks, even the CPU ident seems FUBAR as well

I think all CPU's will do 66Mhz. I only had a couple of REV 5 and they did 75MHz IIRC. REV6 mostly 95MHz. Of course some people claim REV1 can do 75MHz, but who knows what actual mask it was. Likely a rev5 even though the ID says rev1.

I basically buy them only if I can find them in the USA or Europe, and so far they have all been real. I actually have a real 60Mhz-rated rev 6 (very rare). I would not recommend anyone buy them from China if they can avoid it.

Totally agree! Things are getting worse if You can't test it before, so if new card doesn't work You don't know where to start...

As for me - i got 10x rev.5 from local seller, all have same mask on all of them: 01G65V

This card is being temperamental. Doesnt seem to matter which speed crystal i have on its a big huffy about starting up.

This is now at final CD32 speed. 78Mhz... Im not planning to push it much more.. its all about stability now.

We'll get burst mode working for RAM too which isnt yet enabled.

Perhaps you should try version 4 of Sysinfo. It has *some* 68060 support.

See the site for more info: http://sysinfo.d0.se/
