Will do!
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

I've just got back home with my haul... which just fitted into the car...

I've not looked in any of the boxes yet but the IT stuff is interesting, given that the person I got it off was the top man at IT British base (chip design and documentation) in Bedford. (Apparently most of the TMS99xx series were designed there, including the graphics chips used in the MSX etc.)

It's now filling my living room!

Oh, so that's where the Mac cables were!

IMG_2615.jpg

The IT 99/4A has a modulator and is mostly in its original packing. Comes with joysticks and quite a few cartridges.

I've not opened the Beeb up yet but it comes with floppy drive and Votlmace Delta joysticks.

It looks like on Saturday I'm off back to where I used to live to pick up a whole load of stuff from a school colleague's parents' house. I either rescue it or it gets skipped.

Mac LCII + colour monitor and ImageWriter printer. (Goodness knows how battery damaged the LCII will be!)
BBC Micro with floppy drives and joysticks.
TI 99/4A with stuff.
TM 990/189 board computer with power supply (never heard of this)
TI 59 programmable calculator
Epson LX80
Loads of manuals.

Most of it in the original boxes!
Holy hell, that's quite the win!!!

Yeah. Internal sale within TI.

Well, the LCII doesn't work, but that's not the main board's fault (yet). It sounds like the PSU's X2 capacitors (one or other of them) has failed in the rapid ticking sort of failure mode where it internally shorts quickly and then heals itself and then shorts again multiple times a second, not allowing the PSU to start up. I had a VCR which had the same fault.

The monitor powers up fine though.

Oh, and as it turns out Mr. Reed was the person who arranged our school's computer club visit to the Bedford, Manton Lane TI headquarters in 1983, where we saw their CAD machines but more impressively their 15GB hard disk (which was 20ft tall) and the laser printer which was again about 20ft long and fired the paper through at such a speed that the sheets were stopped by armour plating.

The TI 99/4A is in mint condition with not even a hint of a fingerprint on the aluminium.
