PP's driver had a blitter mode, but myself and @Icky never got it to work AFAIK it just kept bombing.

I don't know about PP's driver, but I was a beta tester for HDDRIVER 11 and I successfully tested the Blitter-accelerated IDE (with the Lightning ST).

PaulJ wrote: 28 Feb 2020 14:43 Several of us purchased hddriver when we were testing @exxos 's IDE board. So there's a paid update hddriver 11.0 that I just picked up. We'll see if I can notice any changes.
@PaulJ €10 I see, have you noticed anyything interesting with V11?
Just received the download... you don't get it right away after you pay.. you need to be blessed prior to getting 11.0. Since the netusbee hangs the machine since the floppy HD upgrade I need to use the Gotek to transfer files.. unfortunately I upgraded to 2.14 and even though I made a new floppy file with the 11.0 files I get an error when attempting to install the new floppy file. So in essence were sitting here in a smoking pile of broken sh#t. :mad: :WTF:

I never use the HxC stuff on the FlashFloppy... merely the LCD and buttons/knob.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

For each of the download options, I got the usual ZIP file and 2 IMG files for loading onto SD cards, one for IDE and one for SCSI:
  • hddr1100.zip
  • hddr1100_ide.img
  • hddr1100_scsi.img
The 2 IMG files are for imaging an SD or other card with a bootable hard disk image.

This is the wording on his the HDDriver news page "In addition to a ZIP archive bootable drive images are offered for download. HDDDRIVER can now also be ordered on a bootable memory card. "

This sounds interesting. Was there an upgrade fee from v10 to v11?
