So it seems to have that odd fault where I can format a floppy, access it, save desktop.inf, all fine, but it refuses to read any other floppies despite being created on the same floppy drive on the H4 :shrug:

EDIT:

OK the above was single sided format.. I tried double sided and it completed the format kinda... :shrug: and can't access floppy A: again :roll:

The only difference between SS and DS seems to be a register in the 1772.. I have continuity checked a lot of the lines between the DMA, 1772, checked various lines of activity, re-solder the floppy port, change the cable, change the floppy drive, change the 1772 and DMA.. I cannot really think of anything else to do..

Won't have any time today to work on it, but I think we will just have to see if someone else has the same problem to see if it's a actual problem on the design or just my board.. But the whole DMA circuit was copied from the hate for and is tried and tested anyway, so I don't see what could really go wrong.

Not more crossed wires I hope.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Nothing changed on the DMA circuit other than adding the inverter, but that was tested on the H4 DMA bodge boards. otherwise its the same circuit.
