I have carts that contain a PRG file that, when executed from the desktop, installs a reset proof ram disk as drive C and extracts contents into the new C-drive and reboots as it would from a hard drive.
Sounds cool!
yeah 128K is somewhat limiting. Getting a bit off topic, though was a debate last year about keeping or removing the cartridge port form my new motherboard.. was 50:50 really. . If had a new port, could add RW, and even remap it for larger space.. but then we lose the ability to use old carts.. though possible adapters could be made..
So for some reason the TT and Falcon diagnostic ROM's are not working..
I found this..
ROM4 allows the cart to be addressed $FA0000 - $FAFFFF
ROM3 allows the cart to be addressed $FB0000 - $FBFFFF.
So as the Falcon one is 128K that probably is why.. though the TT is 64 K but still doesn't work.. unless it actually needs a TT to do anything..
I can only assume this because I am not using ROM3 line ? Does anyone have a Falcon diagnostic cartridge where they can see actually how it was wired up ? Or anyone know of schematic for it ?
I added in the LS86 logic to take care of the Falcon ROM.. Still not really sure why the TT ones isn't working.. But will have to get these new PCBs made and see if it works or not... Probably could do with finding someone with a actual TT to try it out on..

Great little project Exxos. I was just looking for a diagnostic cart and this project looked interesting. How has the testing going and hope you feeling a lot better now.

Understand - I think a lot of us juggle our day jobs etc and with the STF Remake, Blitter Recreation being very prominent taking up all the hours of your day.
