Ok, so been having a play, and here are the results, I haven't tried printing yet as already have something else printing, plus I think I still need to tweak the extruder height a smidge as I think my Z offset is too low and I have no room for adjustment!

There are now 4 types, 2 short and 2 tall, with and without slots. I've increased the slot size for ease of 3d printing, or you can print without slots if you'd prefer.

I've also added a chamfer to aid in pushing it into the mainboard.

Tall ones are 20mm total height, short are 17.5mm total height.

They look like this:
Short_Slotted.PNG
Short_No_Slot.PNG
Go have a play :)
FDD_Tall_Slotted.stl
FDD_Tall_Not_Slotted.stl
FDD_Short_Slotted.stl
FDD_Short_Not_Slotted.stl

BTW I also printed off 3 of my original design and they all came out ok, even with the really narrow slots, though I think the wider slots will be better.

All fitted into the holes in an ST mainboard with no problem.

Ok, no worries, they look real good though. Exxos is printing some too.

The left post was the one I printed in PLA yesterday.. Basically all slots were melted together..

The middle one I printed just, different settings, and now it looks a lot better.

The one on the right is printed earlier out of ABS, but this one seemed worse than the one yesterday.

I think part of the problem is the now "sloping top". Actually preferred the one yesterday which was more "flat" ? , this pushed into the motherboard and grips just fine. But this new one no longer grips in the board as good due to the "slope".

EDIT:

So far I think PLA is getting a bit more detail and less blobbing than ABS. But I printed squares out of ABS which were fantastic. So I think finer/smaller details is better with PLA. Larger objects that may not need fine detail can be done fine in ABS.
