Re: Steve's DFB1 build
.. you can solder new pins. That's enough to set up the CPU once.

It's okay I got a spare :)
By the way before I test, @Badwolf I'm getting 21 ohms across vcc and gnd, would that be correct? CPU inserted etc.

Whilst plugged into the Falcon? Seems reasonable. I could have even been persuaded it would be lower.Steve wrote: 20 Apr 2022 12:29 By the way before I test, @Badwolf I'm getting 21 ohms across vcc and gnd, would that be correct? CPU inserted etc.

Yep. Pin one top right. Tiny silkscreen says "Oscillator this way -->" ;)Steve wrote: 20 Apr 2022 12:30 And just want to double check that I've got the Xtal installed correctly :)
BTW, if you can, I prefer to test in RGB or Composite mode (versus VGA) as most tellys will react faster to the signal coming on than VGA screens (which tend to need to wake up).
Could potentially save 5 or 6 seconds of power if something's not right.
Remember you need to jumper the flash disable and, if I were you, I'd jumper the master disable on first power up: make sure you see the Atari logo from the on-board processor before trying the external one.

Re: Steve's DFB1 build
Firstly, is this with the master enable jumpered or open?
If jumpered, reseat both board and diag cart.
If open, does jumpered work?
