Yes, I do agree it's also a good alternative, but my philosophy is: the less the better.
My desk is already so crowded...

@HigashiJun You could mount the scaler on the rear of the monitor out of sight :)

Re: New monitor for my STE
@Steve That's a good idea, but isn't this scaler getting quite hot ?
Anyway, my Dell SE2722H should arrive in the morning today and if it's as good as described in the posts, there will be no chance for the scaler...

Re: New monitor for my STE
We've got quite a few people doing the "BBS circuit" these days
and a handful of those have bought/commented on the 27"
monitor referenced in this thread. They all seem to be very
happy with their purchase...

I have just installed my new Dell SE2722H and I can confirm I am very happy too. :DDarklord wrote: 25 Feb 2022 00:49 We've got quite a few people doing the "BBS circuit" these days

It's really lightweight for a 27" monitor and the plastics are not so cheapo, so for around £149 (or USD 199) it's really worth it.
I can only recommend it to fellows Atarians.
Cheers.

Re: New monitor for my STE
@HigashiJun Could you please post some pictures of the monitor in the different modes when you have chance?
It's always good to see how the quality compares to other solutions!
I'm considering a new display in the near future...
Thx

@JezC
Sure, here we go:
I didn't try all the settings yet (pixel clock and frequency) as all I had to do was just center the screen in HI-RES mode and set the aspect ratio to 4:3 (it's just my preference, but 16:9 works fine too).
A very nice monitor, in addition new and cheap.

Excellent! Many thanks @HigashiJun.
It looks pretty good without much adjustment.
