TF536 Problems with Amiga and WHDLoad

OMG, that seller sold it with the CPU soldered straight on?!?! Dispute it, send it back to the seller on eBay, buy one (when they are available) from reputable sellers on here or on Amibay. The fact that CPU is soldered straight on says everything imo.

Yes I am the seller.
Couple of things about the card.
1, The CPU is socketed.
2, It was soak tested for 12+ hours as all of mine are.

The buyer messaged me in Ebay and was having problems, so I in the first instance offered a refund or replacement, but asked him to ask online for help as I didnt know why he was getting odd behaviour as he was saying he had trouble with it even posting and when it did it had various issues, which I assumed were OS related.
I offered him a replacement CPU or upgrade to Gold/Ceramic

You guys know the rest of the story.

OK thats fair enough.. We've seen enough issues overall that i would not solder an 030 down unless it was specifically for space constraints. e.g. a CDTV.

I've never even been tempted to solder a CPU to the board considering how many I end up binning, I certainly wouldn't like to desolder one.

Good to hear! Glad it is being sorted! And glad it has a socket! Chances are just that 68K being moany at 50Mhz. I've had a few like that myself, that run fine at 40Mhz but not 50!

I'm sure the board was fine when it left me. I test in three different 500 revisions for a minimum of 4 hours in each before posting out.
I have seen the problems before that he has said he is getting like the graphical glitches and I suspect if it's not the CPU, it is a poorly seated custom chip, most probably the Agnus.

Just to say that @PaulJ_2.0 is one of the more reputable builders and in summary there has been a misunderstanding in this thread about the CPU being socketed.
