For anyone who's interested, you can grab the version 2.0 (latest version) of this buffer here, including a rough English translation and the original C't magazine article.
I pointed out a minor error in the article's schematic (output pin 39 should be 37 as far as I can tell), although nobody else has replied to confirm this.

I've redrawn the schematic from the above article in Eagle and fixed the pin 39 error) here:

PS: Hopefully I've got the A/B directions right as well although the buffer schematic posted here by "guest" has gotten me confused.
