Re: CURRENT STOCK STATUS
Thanks for the info - that's useful :) I'll now wait for more stock if ever.atari030 wrote: 25 Aug 2020 14:28 I took the plunge at the start of the month, my cartridge has arrived in Sydney as of Monday. Now it just needs to get to Victoria. If you aren't in Victoria I'd say you are looking at a month shipping at a guess. Meanwhile my wounded Atari's sit idle...

Re: CURRENT STOCK STATUS
A few more items are out of stock or about to go out of stock. I am working all day everyday in trying to keep items in stock, but I'm pretty much fighting a losing battle still.
Currently I have the rest of the current PSU batch to box up, probably around 40 or so. I am unlikely to do another batch next year as they cost a fortune to buy all the parts'and a long time to build and test.
There is a small batch of stfm dualtos boards almost completd. I just need to solder the jumpers on them now. I hope they will be in stock over the next few days.
Diagnostic carts and ST2VGA PCBs I have got JLC to assemble the SMT items in preparation for next batches. This will save me time in soldering 100's of parts but unfortunaly its going to increase costs a little as I don't get the price break on ordering a lot of PCBs .
The falcon 3 in 1 VGA adapters are still being made. There will be a batch of about 90 of them . So I think that shouikd stop them going out of stock again anytime soon. I have also revamped the next gen board and again getting JLC to solder parts on 30 boards. Though I am not sure when these will go on sale. Likely when all the others have sold as the next gen ones are basically smaller with auto power off feature.
I am make preparations for a new batch of the falcon RTC boards. As said months ago, these will be smaller than before. I'm not sure if the price will change on these or not yet.
If sales keep up like they are now, I may buy a pick and place machine to speed more things up. Though sales pre-april wouldn't warrant spending the money on as it would take years to get the money back on it. But the past few months sales have gone up a lot. The batches of items I was doing for my store were based on only selling a particular amount each year. Though the surge in demand recently has thrown out my sales projections for the year as stuff is selling 3x faster now.. As to how long this will last is the real question now. Sales next year could be less than they were originally. There's just no way to tell other than to see what happens over the next couple months. I obviosly don't want to buy a smt placement machine if its never going to get used. But right now its really a must
Anyway, enough waffle for now. I just wanted to post a quick roundup of what's going on lately..

Re: CURRENT STOCK STATUS
Apparently online purchase has gone up and also surfing on the web since Covid-19 hit the streets. People also got more "free" time to tinker with retro stuff. A lot of rebuilding at home has also been going on the past months. Some lock downs and working from home seems to be going on after summer and in to fall as well. Second Covid wave or whatever they what to call it. So probably a couple of months more with store surge.exxos wrote: 04 Sep 2020 02:23...Though sales pre-april wouldn't warrant spending the money on as it would take years to get the money back on it. Re: CURRENT STOCK STATUS
I don't s'pose you know the sort of time scale for new TOS2.06 STFM decoder boards turning up, or even if you'll make any more?
(I've just bought a pre-build TF536 from PhilC :) )

Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Re: CURRENT STOCK STATUS
@exxos do you have the parts to build them? I can probably knock a few up for you as a one off?
