Maybe someone can measure the resistance between those pins on a working CD32.

Presumably the timer tests work for everyone else?

I’m not able to check right now but the CIAB on the A1200 is on a diffent section of the data bus to CIAA...

However feels odd that the TF328 boots and the TF330 does not.

Does it boot with IDE removed?

I do not have a TF328. The unit boots with no accelerator installed. I'm going to swap Akiko out, I can't see any external pins that are dedicated to the functions that are being tested.

I would borrow a TF328 first. Unless you’re happy swapping Akiko.

It’s possible some games would get away with no CIAB timer. Especially CD32 games

This is a very puzzling bug. I asked nils if he'd send me his CD32 for me to try some local debugging since I will be doing some recaps for him anyway. I can't reproduce any of these issues on my hardware.

I find it hard to believe an Akiko would just be defective, I have not seen C= chips fail this way (except for the standalone 8520 CIAs).

Agreed. But something is causing that CIA timer to fail even without the TF330 installed. I can make the TF330 break CIAB and check the behaviour is the same.

I suspect a short somewhere.

EDIT: I don’t think anton and nils have the same issue.
