Bit better shot...
Tested 4 out of 6 boosters and working good so far :) Need to do a updated install page for it all and add it to my store yet
So lessons learned I guess..
1) Don't buy cheap PCBs.
2) Don't buy GAL's from China (or probably anywhere for that matter)
3) Do not use PLCC sockets.
4) Use a programmer which works right.
5) Vodka is your friend.
Some benchmarks before I lose them...

Install page is up..

Worth noting, that because of the external ROM board, this booster is only going to work on the C070789 series. I don't have the time to develop ROM boards for every style of motherboard. There simply isn't demand enough to warrant spending the time and costs with it all.
It may be possible to hack job the MEGA ST ROM board to work, but I don't have time to try it all out.

I haven't had time today to start the 104/206 ROM's, that will have to wait until Monday now.

Re: BOOSTER 2.2 REVISITED
I'm sure its possible to take the address decode for 2.06 and inject to the mega fast rom card but getting the booster to reside in the same physical space as the fast rom card will be the trick!

Solder the ROM board directly into the MB ? I can't even remember if the booster even overhangs the ROM board on the MEGA.PaulJ wrote: 14 Dec 2018 20:30 I'm sure its possible to take the address decode for 2.06 and inject to the mega fast rom card but getting the booster to reside in the same physical space as the fast rom card will be the trick!UG_3334.jpg

Re: BOOSTER 2.2 REVISITED
My plan is to replace the fast rom card. As my first Kicad project I'm working on 28 pin dip to 32 pin PLCC (8bit) which fits on top of the 28pin dip foot print. Every though quite simple kicad isn't real friendly but easier to deal with that eagle. So I'll get there but my ar#e will have numerious chew marks on it. :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Re: BOOSTER 2.2 REVISITED
The V2.3 has gone out of stock already, so thanks to those who purchased one.
I plan on making another batch of about 20, but I am unsure if I will build this series again after the next batch. I need to move away from the 16MHz stuff really and I am thinking of producing the SEC simple board ....
As this is so compact, it will fit almost any machine I think (which also helps as the V1.5 booster is obsolete now) .
The SEC needs testing out more yet with it running at 50MHz and ultimately once its all polished, can be moved as the default CPU on the remake boards.
