Presumably this is the fallout from companies training LLMs?
You want a large volume of free text on a wide range of subjects? Conversations with replies? In multiple languages? Forums are the perfect "free" training material no?

But relatively small forums even smaller than ours? They would scrape the data in seconds. It wouldn't take down servers.
The sad thing is people seem to be moving to blocking complete guest access now which is understandable.. Hides the information from attackers, bots, scrapers. But also hides it from the general public as well.. If this continues the internet is going to get a whole lot smaller :(
