After some google-fu on coupling capacitors (C24 is to remove any DC from signal between two circuits) and alot of people seem to ask the same question about polarity of coupling caps but as long as the reverse voltage isn't more than 2V it will be fine seems to be the general rule.
With C24 in place and in the factory way round the positive lead of the cap which is connected to positive marking on PCB is 3.5v in relation to GND, the other end of the cap is 3.4V in relation to GND so according to :
https://electronics.stackexchange.com/q ... -amplifier
is correct orientation for my rev board - the higher DC level side is connected with the positive terminal side of the cap.
The voltage DC average across the cap will depend on the output display so for falcon startup its mostly all white while its doing memory test - (white 0V-1V) - and when desktop appears its much darker so would only be 0V-0.3v - https://electronics.stackexchange.com/q ... site-video
There are many such websites which say roughly the same thing but I would think that each revision of board might have different values across C24 due to the difference in the capacitor spaghetti around the modulator in some revisions.
I am not an electronics expert but the above seems to be logical in regards to the readings i am seeing so for the time being i will leave as factory and keep checking it.
C6 on the other hand seems a no brainer as its a decoupling cap so much more black and white in its polarity reversal and easier to explain/understand.
