Re: TF1260 Testing FW
For those of us who are only using A1200 IDE, are we good to go ahead with the Iteration2 update?

Re: TF1260 Testing FW
Yes I just tried having two CFs with os3.2.1 on the A1200 IDE and the TF1260 ide, and like like you I get the Activity light on the TF1260 IDE but it does not show up on the workbenchidc wrote: 09 May 2023 11:31 Will recheck my side.
I tried internal IDE *or* ehIDE, internal IDE *and* ehIDE (booting from one then the other with the opposing device still connected), but I don’t recall trying neither/*nor*… This was both on 3.2.1 and 3.2.2 ROMs on a 1B board. I have a 1D.4 I can try also, if that makes a difference.
So idc just try booting from the TF1260 ide with nothing on the A1200 ide and report if you can
Just to add, iteration 2 works fine with OS 3.1 and on the TF1260 ide boots no problem

Re: TF1260 Testing FW
Tested the 3 FW's again on my 3.2.1 Rom.
Xmas 2021 Alpha: Boots fine from A1200 and TF IDE, and from the floppy. Kickstart screen appears in 12 seconds if nothing is connected.
Iteration 1 and 2 behaves identically. Only boots from A1200 IDE. Floppy boot works too if A1200 IDE is connected. Only black screen if nothing is connected, does respond to keyboard reset with rainbow flashes, but Kickstart screen never shows up.

Re: TF1260 Testing FW
OK i guess i need to test a 3.2.1 ROM. 3.2 line is really annoying in some ways. Adds more permutations to test.Aardvark82 wrote: 09 May 2023 14:37 Tested the 3 FW's again on my 3.2.1 Rom.

Re: TF1260 Testing FW
1D4 mobo with timing fixes applied. 3.2 ROM with 3.2.2.1 update installed.
060 Rev5 is no longer stable at 66mhz, ironically it’s when reading from the HDD on the 1200 IDE port that causes the problems (random block errors when decompressing an LHA file for example, or block errors when loading SysInfo)
60mhz seems to be OK
Previously on the Xmas firmware, 66mhz was stable, even 75mhz on a very cold day for short periods of time

3.2.1 with ehIDE, just confirmed:supaduper wrote: 09 May 2023 12:10Yes I just tried having two CFs with os3.2.1 on the A1200 IDE and the TF1260 ide, and like like you I get the Activity light on the TF1260 IDE but it does not show up on the workbenchidc wrote: 09 May 2023 11:31 Will recheck my side.

- Boots from internal IDE with ehIDE unpopulated
- Boots from ehIDE with internal IDE unpopulated
- Boots from internal IDE with ehIDE populated
- Boots from ehIDE with internal IDE populated
- Both IDE ports unpopulated displays Kickstart screen
- Boots from floppy with both/either/neither IDE ports populated
I built the ROM using Remus. It’s a 1MB ROM containing ehide.device, icon.library and workbench.library in extended ROM.

Re: TF1260 Testing FW
OK idc that is good news
And I have some good news, iteration 2 does work now on my TF1260 IDE with os 3.2 and 3.2.2, i think I had a flakey CF adapter as I changed it and now both those OS work
So now I only have to work on why os 3.2.1 does not , so I will investigate more, it must be either my Custom roms with ehide or something on my OS 3.2.1. cf system it does not like

Re: TF1260 Testing FW
So burned another set of 3.2.1 roms with ehide and it now works with iteration 2, so to repeat all versions of OS 3.2 work with iteration 2
Hey Aardvark , there is a good chance it is your rom set that is causing you problems so you need to recompile onother set of 3.2.1 roms like I did

Re: TF1260 Testing FW
Has anyone tried increasing the speed to greater than 50mhz?
