ICD AdSCSI Micro interface remake progress

Ok, so this is the device I found after being in the other thread.

I wanted to ask.. could the design be easily modified so instead of a internal ribbon design we go with external DB25s - both for the ASCI and SCSI - the db 25 for ASCI gets cut - like in other projects finding a db19 is very difficult, but you can cut a 25 to work on the 19 female on the computer. This would allow a direct connection to an external bluescsi or pis2csi to use on a STFM or STE etc..

bluescsi and pi2scsi use female connectors, so ea on this device would be male - allows direct plug into the computer and the piscsi plug into it. could be powered by usb and put in a case. I am not good with cad software etc.. otherwise I would just do it myself.

So Toriman does not seem to have an issue with it. Does anyone have the Eagle skills to redesign a board like I am asking? THis board plugs into the external ACSI port and then you plug your scsi2pi or bluescsi into it? If you asking why use this rather than Acsi2STM - well the latter is not scsi compliant and there for I cannot use HDDRIVER - which is the most compatible and I use with every other device I have, but its nice to have something I can take to anyone's house - plug it in and it works, oR if it doesn't we are not looking for something that is outside the established norm in devices.

Ok, so I did it myself. In EasyEDA - which is actually really easy to use, but it does then not allow me to export the .SCH file.

SO I am uploading it.

If anyone has the time and interest, I would appreciate if you look at it, see if I missed any of the signal wires. Toriman's website has his .SCH that I worked form. attached here. (icd_micro.sch)

I made Gerber files in EasyEDA which had no issues autorouting.. 22 vias and no DRC errors.. so I think it should be good.

My Gerbers attached. Finally if anyone wants to use it, in json format - which is all I can export from EasyEDA. that is attached as well.

So that everyone who uses this Forum and not Atari Forum knows. Toriman got back and said the 555 circuit was not needed if the device was not being used internally on the MegaST (It was a delay reset circuit) SO.. I now have an even smaller more compact interface board. So I have a bluescsi v2 to test with.

The log.txt from the bluescsi seems good. I use the megaSTE config, and I have a 2gb (just under) file that was divided into 4 partitions.

The file loads on Hatari as an .img file.

I boot HDD driver off of floppy it sees nothing. as you can imagine nothing from the SDcard on the blue scsi boots,

SO the bluescsi seems to be ready - but my interface is not working??

ANyone seen anything from what Tori did to what I did (change port style) to see what I might have done wrong?

Please do not use the files in that post - I was asking for people to look it over. I have produced the board, but so far have failed to get it working. I am going through the schematic again.. I had to change both U1 and U2 to db25 (one male one female) I also had to change the input from 50pin Scsi to 25 pin, I think I have that correct. If I have all that correct then I am not sure what I have done wrong, but so far, no joy. Checking logic is not my strength, so if anyone has suggestions on how to troubleshoot this I would love to hear it.

I had to use FAT on my setup for it to work and under the 1gb limit (as I have an old ASCI - SCSI card in my Mega STE.
It is also called FAT16.

Try formatting the SD card to FAT/FAT16.

The bluescsi works. I have used it straight up on my TT np.

I have to figure out how to get my Tori remake ADSCSI micro working. I have checked and checked my schematic, my soldering, everything seems fine.

ICD 6.5.5 does have HDparts.tos and host.tos . I did get it to find the host at one point, now it does not.

I need to logic troubleshoot the board somehow, but not sure how.

bluescsi v2 2024 .01a external is the exact model btw

works a treat on TT030. SO I am pretty sure this is not a bluescsi issue.. although I guess my config could be.

I will check the GALs make sure something has not gone wrong with them.
