Cool, thanks.Laupert wrote: Wed Feb 02, 2022 2:42 pmYou could take a look at the Carnivore2 as well, which is a great expansion, though not sure if it is available at the moment.

Re: MSX Inbound!!
Carnivore 2 was my backup choice. The difference between the two seems minimal in terms of features.
Building the Omega was not without hiccups, and of course I found the "Here's a step by step guide with full testing and loads of helpful tidbits after I'd finished assembling everything.
I wrote it up here: https://ilike8bits.com/2022/01/13/build ... omega-msx/
TLDR: Finding the right ROM image was a little tricky. The LEDs on the keyboard go on top of the keys. Don't get the SRAM and EPROM confused.

CASDunio is good for tape loading and is cheap.
Also pretty simple to make your own.
I've only got one of those for my HX-10. Some carts have been converted to tape like Penguin Adventure (might have wrong name, but that impressive looking Konami game).

Re: MSX Inbound!!
I thought you needed to flash different firmware depending on if you wanted .CAS support. Maybe that's just the Arduino I am using.

Well, it was advertised as doing it, once I get a tape cable sorted we'll see.Higgy wrote: Thu Feb 03, 2022 8:36 pm I thought you needed to flash different firmware depending on if you wanted .CAS support. Maybe that's just the Arduino I am using.

Re: MSX Inbound!!
I used an old mobile I had lying around and a copy of MSX2CAS that worked fine for me.

No probs.
In fact, you can probably thank @Steve , for being the catalyst for me having to hunt around the 'hidden treasures' that are stashed away in the house!
