He's having issues with it being so big, its generating its own gravitational pull and starting to warp space time...

Ahhh, so the time dilation explains the big gaps in Icky posts and why they all turn up at once...
Either that or Icky and his printer are in the dog house   :P

Since you have been adding emojis :). I was looking for the ambulance one to depict a siren going past :P
None so far waiting for parts to arrive from all their various sources. Ordered the print bed this morning as it has specific dimensions and wanted to get them right.
Talking with Exxos I think I may of gone over board with the size of the LCD panel.

The part printing has started. I think my existing 3D printer knows its printing its big brother as I have had no end of issues with it this week.

Looking nice and solid.

Re: Building a DIY large bed 3D printer
Yes its a core xy based on the Voron but with mods to make sure the X axis is stable. The base part of the frame is currently using 2040 extrusion instead of the standard 2020 to stop the bed flexing on the X dimension. There are two more struts to go across the Y on the bottom for the bed.
Overall dimensions of the frame are 710mm x 510mm x 430mm - its not small
