Hello,
What is the situation in 2024?
Is it possible to get a CosmosEX somewhere?
(I just got a Falcon without any storage device... )
Thank you.

Re: WANTED COSMOSEX
I'm pretty sure that's going to cover only a fraction of what the CosmoEx does. Nonetheless I am curious ;) Can you be more specific? Searching "Disk On Module" on AliExpress yields manu different kinds of things, none of which with a connector that looks like it's puggable anywhere inside or outside the falcon.. ?

Re: WANTED COSMOSEX
So, CosmosEx ended up here: CosmosEx and there was certainly a lot going on initially but it looks like the project ran out of steam for some reason.
It's a shame as it's such a good device and they had hinted at a CosmosEx 4, but again, no more updates for 3 years it seems and I think after the initial 100 it all went sideways.
I am aware that some people did receive their items though.

It's been a long time since I spoke with jookie, but he had some great ideas for CE4.0, but then again.. Life.. I don't we'll see a new version anytime soon.

Re: WANTED COSMOSEX
The trouble with CosmosEx these days is mainly its lack of clear purpose. We have RaSCSI, BlueSCSI, Gotek, numerous IDE solutions, numerous mouse and keyboard adapters, ACSI2STM, sidecart ... there isn't many unique features left for CosmosEx. From time to time I talk with Jookie about future plans/features but so far personally I couldn't find some definite point why it even makes sense to produce a new batch (let alone worrying how to produce it as the previous experience with 3.0 production was quite nightmarish).

Re: WANTED COSMOSEX
To re-create CosmoSex functionality with items you can buy today you'd need
ACSI2STM (£50)
Gotek (£40)
NetUSBee (£76)
Eiffel Keyboard/Mouse adapter (£29)
So.. £195 + postage which is about €240
I tend to use the SideCartridge these days, not 100% compatible and doesn't include ALL of CosmosEx features but it's cheap (£35) widely available and most importantly still being developed.

Re: WANTED COSMOSEX
@mikro why not open source the CosmosEx 3.0 and let the people assemble their own? ;)
@alexh but you can't use ACSI2STM on Falcon, can you? (no ACSI connector) .
Thank you for mentioning SideCartridge! Didn't know about it. (I'm a bit sad it is wireless only / no Ethernet port...)
