@terriblefire

Hi, I watched the recent live streams on youtube, great to watch. In one you mentioned you was working on the motherboard IDE lockups that can occur with A1200.
I'm happy to do some testing, if you need an additional person to assist with that particular issue. I have a XILINX programmer here.

Please don't take this the wrong way but I'm very picky about testers. I want to be sure the feedback i'm getting is not going to lead me down the garden path. I've got a group of 6-7 people that i send firmwares to test. At the moment thats enough. I'm also keen to keep the group as tight as possible until we're ready to roll with the new firmware.

EDIT: also thanks to @go0se and a few others i have almost every A1200 revision. Certainly all the common ones and i'm able to test most scenarios.

Hi,
this is my first post here, updated today my TF1260 from 999 to firmware 1000 from this thread and found
1) better chipram performance
2) better Amiga IDE speed
3) increased overall performance

My rev4 68LC060 seems to work at 94 Mhz but I've to mount a fan before making extensive test, I don't want to fry my cpu.... , mounted a fan.
100 Mhz seems to be unstable, graphical corruption, some application crash, ...

really thanks for this firmware.

Drawbacks:
1) TF ide slows down terribly when cpu overclocked at 94 Mhz (on my TF ide is connected a 2.5 hdd 5400 rpm)
2) also chip ram writes slow down when cpu overclockd from 67 Mhz and greater

I just updated my tf1260 to the new firmware and gut much better chipram-performance.

However, it seems that both PCMCIA and the A1200 original IDE ports now have issues. I can no longer boot from the inbuilt port (results in a guru if the controller is recognized at all), but the tf1260 works fine. More of an issue is that my PCMCIA port almost stopped working. I noticed first, that my EtherlinkIII TP adapter had issues (does not respond) and later also, that my CF-Adapter became incredibly slow/unreliable.

Any ideas/thoughts????

Best,
Pain

I have a few updates in the pipeline. I would rollback for now.

Updated the cpuspeed Setspeed icon set done by 32bits, now you can experiment with any speed between 50 - 125 , knock yourselves out lol

sorry guys I forgot to set the icons as` PROJECT ` (iconX) in the default tool so they wont work, I will fix this later and reupload the zip

If you downloaded the CPUSPEED set of icons yesterday then please delete that and download the one I have fixed in my previous post :)

Cheers for the update. I've not yet tried these yet, but before if you say selected 64Mhz it would jump to the nearest multiplier. I think on the last Firmware there was only something like 4 or 5 selectable speeds.
So I was expecting a new CPUSPEED program to go with this?

Who is brave enough to stick an ice cube on top of their 060 and test 125Mhz :)
