Interesting solution @luciodra , mine pings but still no luck with UIP. I have an old NE2000 card that only has BNC and AUI, so have purchased an AUI to RJ45 transceiver and will see if that works.
Once I've got that to work I hope to be able to slowly get into the whole ISA programming thing in the hope we have more card choice in the future.

Your card must have the RTL8019 chip to have any chance of working.PhilC wrote: 18 May 2025 18:45 Interesting solution @luciodra , mine pings but still no luck with UIP. I have an old NE2000 card that only has BNC and AUI, so have purchased an AUI to RJ45 transceiver and will see if that works.

That's the controller for my current card, it's set to 300h and IRQ10. On my Mac, doing a port scan I can see port 21 is open but I don't get any webpage or anything.luciodra wrote: 18 May 2025 19:28Your card must have the RTL8019 chip to have any chance of working.PhilC wrote: 18 May 2025 18:45 Interesting solution @luciodra , mine pings but still no luck with UIP. There's no webserver running in this version, just the FTP server on port 21.PhilC wrote: 18 May 2025 20:17 That's the controller for my current card, it's set to 300h and IRQ10. On my Mac, doing a port scan I can see port 21 is open but I don't get any webpage or anything.
You should be able to do an anonymous ftp connect using an ftp client of your choice.
I think you might need to do passive mode but I'm not 100% sure.

@agranlund ah ok, that explains it. I'll go download FileZilla and get it working with that or something similar.

And in fact I was very interested in your card, and that's where I got my inspiration from. :D

Also, the EtherNEC ISA Network adapter is only 8 bit as well. This is where I was using my ISA network card originally.
