My only suggestion is to try the other 2 firmware as they run the CPU at 8mhz and see if IDE behaves then..coonsgm wrote: Sat Mar 15, 2025 3:10 pm Yeah, this is the same CF card I've been using with the STE536 for the last 6 months or so running the modded 206 for that time. It isn't byteswapped.
Can all registered uses please login, even just for a few minutes..
It helps build a picture where our "good traffic" is coming from..
Thanks :)

Re: ST536 STE EDITION
Trying a different CF card now...if that doesn't work I'll try the other firmware
Re: ST536 STE EDITION
Might also be an idea to show how you fitted the patch board.. it's odd as @Steve and @Badwolf seem to be stable now but not youcoonsgm wrote: Sat Mar 15, 2025 3:18 pm Trying a different CF card now...if that doesn't work I'll try the other firmware
Re: ST536 STE EDITION
So BW is stable now? What did he do?
Re: ST536 STE EDITION
Same as you..

Here's a photo of the patch board.exxos wrote: Sat Mar 15, 2025 4:27 pmMight also be an idea to show how you fitted the patch board.. it's odd as @Steve and @Badwolf seem to be stable now but not youcoonsgm wrote: Sat Mar 15, 2025 3:18 pm Trying a different CF card now...if that doesn't work I'll try the other firmwareby the sounds of it, the changes didn't help at all ? So can only assume you have a different issue

Re: ST536 STE EDITION
Seems fine...
Re: ST536 STE EDITION
It was unstable, then he removed the cap and was fine...Steve wrote: Sat Mar 15, 2025 5:08 pm Ah I suppose that means removing the cap and osc. Because last I knew he'd installed the board, but was unstable.
My concern is , why is the timing so sensitive to start with... If I go back to the original TF536 timings, TTram doesn't work at all... Even on the ST536..
My only idea at this point would be to move to a 288xl PLD as I can only think some timings off due to the compiler struggling to fit the code in a 144.
Re: ST536 STE EDITION
@Steve Which cap did you remove? I assume the oscillator is the one closest to the patch board.
