I'd be very interested in a working set of files for that too...not sure I've ever managed to get a stable install of those tools under WindozePhilC wrote: 15 Mar 2025 13:18I need to do that too as I really can't be bothered to put all the xilinx stuff on my computer.coonsgm wrote: 15 Mar 2025 12:26 Patch installed...now to set up a raspberry pi to flash the firmware.

Ok, my pi is set up. Which pins are which for the JTAG header on the STE536? No silkscreen labels on my board :(

Re: ST536 STE EDITION
Ok tested with patch board and old firmware = same results as before....most everything works but crashing on blitter demo and Day of the tentacle.
Flashed new firmware (the one you messaged me with) = IDE issues when booting from, Ultrasatan detected boots but crashes with blitter demo and Day of the Tentacle

Have you removed the cap from the bottom of the 030 socket?

Removed, but same issues. Emutos works, but TOS 2.06 is not happy and has issues with the IDE

Using my patched 206 ? I never known IDE to malfunction unless maybe you have blitter turned on ?coonsgm wrote: 15 Mar 2025 14:29 Removed, but same issues. Emutos works, but TOS 2.06 is not happy and has issues with the IDE

Re: ST536 STE EDITION
I'm using the patched 206 that you sent with the STE536 back in September last year which has been working wonderfully with the couple exceptions (Day of the Tentacle and the blitter demo)
It doesn't recognize the HDD driver from the hard drive to initialize the hard drive to begin with.
If I boot with IDE and Ultrasatan (and a bootable HD image on the US) it crashes.
If I boot from an HDdriver installation floppy disk, it freezes and crashes No worries or rush here, just wanted to share testing results so far. I'm trying a few different things. I'm going to boot from Emutos and see about adjusting boot order for my auto folder and see if that helps at all

Re: ST536 STE EDITION
TOS won't find the driver if the IDE is byteswapped.. but EMUTOS will... But wouldn't explain why floppy booting doesn't work. But I'd only try IDE or Ultrasstan , one at a time as I've had trouble trying to get both working at the same time before..
Also DOT might not like MAPROM or BLTFIX... I've not had time to look into that more yet. I've only used EMUTOS for DOT currently.

Re: ST536 STE EDITION
Yeah, this is the same CF card I've been using with the STE536 for the last 6 months or so running the modded 206 for that time. It isn't byteswapped.exxos wrote: 15 Mar 2025 15:05 TOS won't find the driver if the IDE is byteswapped.. but EMUTOS will... But wouldn't explain why floppy booting doesn't work.
