Will it load the auto folder off drive C: ?

@Umberto1st I only tried EmuTOS tonight and with the untwisted cable it boots using the auto folder. Not made a twisted cable yet (no time)

Been testing the Alpha firmware and it works well with an H4 and even boots fine to tos2.06 on my Mega ST.

However, I've discovered a slight issue and as yet haven't verified if its just my ST or the firmware related but if I use the Alpha firmware with EmuTOS on my Mega ST it refuses to even assert 50hz at the glue.

If I reflash with a furmware made on 01 June, which is the one I'd previously found most reliable, the Mega ST boots to EmuTOS once again but obviously doesn't have the bus error for 64mb.

Tested the latest, drives post correctly and auto boots off drive C in emutos. TOS 2.06, hd driver will not recognize that a drive is present.

Correction corrupted hd driver, will mount the HDD from floppy but mo auto boot in 2.06

When i had the swap in place it auto booted on TOS2.06 using PPs image.

I had similar results with PPs 1 gig image, but when formatting a completely new card using Hd Driver and installing HDDriver.sys, which records in the MBR. Neither Emutos or 2.06 reads this data. The MBR (HDDriver.sys) was correctly read with the TF534 using Agranlunds modified firmware. I never tried with your original firmware for the TF534. I don't understand why PPs disk image works, but the latest and previous versions of HD driver(8.3 to 11.02) do not. I am going to contact PP Para and purchase his latest version and try that, but it makes sense to me that anyone should be able to format and partition any card to their liking. Have you successfully formatted and partitioned a card and got it auto boot 2.06? And if you have what hard disk utilities are you using?

Possibly HDDriver needs a real interrupt to happen. PPs doesnt it just polls the ACSI interrupt for 5 seconds.

I’ve always found HDDriver to be over complex in the cf card world

Well I ordered PPs driver, I'll test it when he sends it. If it auto boots 2.06 correctly, then I could possibly bootstrap HD Driver to get the advanced features it offers

Please let us know how you get on with this.

I did a bit of googling btw and it looks like Petari also did a tos2.06 mod to allow twisted and untwisted cables.
