Fixing my Milan 040 (or not) blog

Just found the other 040 CPU. This was "probably" the one which came with the Milan.. No idea what it is tough. The heatsink is glued on :roll:

Maybe when you get it booting you can run Sysinfo as that detects Milan systems/CPUs and clock frequencies?

Clock frequency is set by jumpers on the motherboard.

Yes... The milan says clock speed on power up anyways..

That sucks :( I don't fancy trying to remove the heatsink either. I think I did remove a heatsink glued on my 060 CPU years ago though..

It looks like Ive got rid of this at some point. Ive just been through all my leads in the loft and I cant find it. Sorry. :(

I'm still hunting around but it seems pretty bizarre they don't exist anymore anywhere. I know they are old but normally China is still flooded with things like that kind of stuff.. :roll:

Yeah, other than custom projects (like the Milan) its more 286/386/486 era stuff.

I vaguely remember getting rid of some PC bus mouse (9 pin din) mice a while back, so possibly the rest of that time-frame equipment went with it around then too.

Does anyone else in the UK need any of those PS2 mouse bracket things ? Its looking more likely I'll just have to buy them from the USA or somewhere overseas which isn't very cost-effective posted wise for one single item ...

You could 3D print a collar to go over a ps/2 lead.

2 screw holes to attach to the mounting plate.
A screw to secure the female plug into the collar.

There are these in China.. Likely my only option other than buying the USA bracket so far.
