Good spot. I have the same cpu mask on a Nortel board, does it look the same with markings/writing in the bottom left? Mine doesn't say EC anywhere on the CPU though.
My bad the mask is slightly different.

I think you'll have better luck with that one.
Raven is about as sophisticated as a tractor so the MMU is the real star of the show, working overtime to provide the wanted address layout :)

I completely agree with @Steve regarding EC with maybe-or-maybe-not working MMU and I'd personally not trust one.
Wouldn't be surprised if one worked on Amiga but fails on Raven being used constantly or when some specific feature was used.

Who knows why they were marked EC. Maybe some specific feature is broken under specific circumstances? Or perhaps something obscure as a timing being out of spec when used, perhaps even at specific temperatures?
Or maybe, it is indeed fully working but they were low on stock for EC's to fulfill some order so decided to mark as such.
There's just too many "if's" there for me to feel comfortable gambling on one and it's just easier to trust Motorola when they have marked the CPU as having a broken MMU that is not supposed to be used :)

I really hope that could be the problem. By the way my 060 is a 66MHz.

Since I have the weekend free, and I'm waiting for 060 rev 6, I'm trying Raven with the CL GD5420 which however only works in monochrome and without VDI. With Geekbench, after hours of work, it never crashed.
I still have some doubts about the graphics card and I would like you to confirm that the nova drivers are T0 for the TR9C1710 8-bit RAMDAC.
IMG_1808.jpg
When examining the card I notice that some pins on the RAMDAC appear to be soldered together: is this normal?
IMG_1809.jpg
In my opinion my Raven is affected by a conspiracy  ...cpu, graphics card...other.
At the moment if I start with Sting everything freezes, while if I deactivate it, even if the network card is positioned in the ISA slot, everything works.
Last thing: I added a cooling fan to the 060 even though it felt cool to me before...

The pin soldered together is normal. Either VCC, GND or N.C

Ok, I'm really starting to think that the graphics card is the cause of the instability. This video was made with the CL GD5420 in b&w.
Missing a bit of color...

That's interesting. Is that Mint 68060 too or still the 68000 kernel?

I prefer to wait for the new et4000ax card that I purchased. :P

Unfortunately the new ET4000AX hasn't improved things, on the contrary...now I'm waiting for the 68060 rev 6 to see some improvements, but I'm starting to be sceptical...
