Not at all familiar with econet, and none of my BBC Bs have it fitted IIRC, so I couldn't try it out. Maybe one day I'll give it a go if I can get a module for the Beeb.HigashiJun wrote: Mon Jan 29, 2024 10:18 am It's more for the sake of having a "complete" machine (= if there's an Econet connector at the rear of the A5000, then it would be stupid not to have Econet fitted...), but I will surely try it to transfer files since I have no Ethernet podule in the A5000.
Can all registered uses please login, even just for a few minutes..
It helps build a picture where our "good traffic" is coming from..

If they're the same as the ones for Archimedes, you can still make one by yourself. Just get the replica board and all the necessary components and you're done.
You can also get the Mini Podule from Ken Lowe as a second option.

True, but a project for another time at the moment, though it would definitely be an interesting one.HigashiJun wrote: Mon Jan 29, 2024 11:31 am @rubber_jonnie

For sure, with all the projects you're involved in, the Econet can wait.

Re: ACORN A5000 inbound
A small update here.
Just got this on EvilBay:
A bit pricey, but at least I can have Ethernet on my A5000.
Hope it will reach me soon.

Very nice, and no ridiculous AUI adapter hanging off the back like mine. I'll be interested to see how you get on with it and if it was any simpler than the AKA25 I have to get set up, as I see it has a ROM installed unlike mine.
