ACORN A5000 inbound

It's more for the sake of having a "complete" machine (= if there's an Econet connector at the rear of the A5000, then it would be stupid not to have Econet fitted...), but I will surely try it to transfer files since I have no Ethernet podule in the A5000.

Not at all familiar with econet, and none of my BBC Bs have it fitted IIRC, so I couldn't try it out. Maybe one day I'll give it a go if I can get a module for the Beeb.

If they're the same as the ones for Archimedes, you can still make one by yourself. Just get the replica board and all the necessary components and you're done.

You can also get the Mini Podule from Ken Lowe as a second option.

A bit pricey, but at least I can have Ethernet on my A5000.

Very nice, and no ridiculous AUI adapter hanging off the back like mine. I'll be interested to see how you get on with it and if it was any simpler than the AKA25 I have to get set up, as I see it has a ROM installed unlike mine.
