Mine will be Monday but then you are so much nearer than I am
What's annoying is that it's just down the road at Chelmsford right now, I could literally go and pick it up and be home in an hour...

:dizzy:
It’s got another couple of hours on the road before it’s make it up here.

I shall be looking forward to your installation guide later on then :D
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

If think you guys have a Saturn Memory cart with Pseudo Saturn Kai, you can use it with the Fenrir to give more options:

I don't think there is a lot to the fitting guide, and who goes first is dependent on the post and time to fit it :)

@PhilC Looks like my Fenrir is out for delivery :)

Maybe you'll get yours soon too.

EDIT: It just arrived, must leave it to warm up in my workroom before I play with it.

Nice. I would have liked one (or a Rhea to match my GDEMU) but I could not justify ~£130

I'm quite glad I have a Dreamcast that will use burned disks, as whilst I'd like a GD-EMU, I can't justify both at the moment, especially whilst the DC is still fully working.

@rubber_jonnie yeah mine is supposed to be here any time now.

Check Ali express for the dreamcast one, that's where I got mine from very cheaply (altho 2 years ago)

That's where I have been looking, perhaps for Xmas :)

BTW the Fenrir has gone up about £8 since we ordered.

Ok, first steps of fitting:

PXL_20231113_112025384.jpg

I removed the original CD drive from the Saturn and took 2 out of the 4 rubber mounts out and fitted them to the Fenrir.

I think getting the 2 rubber mounts into the Fenrir board is probably the hardest par of all!!!

Next I selected one of the 2 cables provided, there is a 20 pin and a 21 pin in the box:

For my particular Saturn, I needed the 21 pin cable.

I then connected the ribbon at both ends, the only gotchas being to make sure the ribbon matches the connectors, and the fact that the mainboard side is quite recessed and can be a fiddle.

Then I hooked up the other cable and:

So cool, let's try with an SD card, and boom!!

There we go. Such a simple install and 100% working out of the box just fine with BIN files, though it will work with lots of other file formats.

I just need to drop all my files onto the SD card and reassemble the Saturn. I think I will look for a kit to move the position as when the lid is on, it leaves a big enough space to either lose your SD card, or store a small picnic:

And it seems to work just fine with the PSK cartridge :)

All in all a welcome and easily installed upgrade.
