Yes, 4MB is just enough for all these softs...
8MB is a must in a A5000.

Just a small update for today too...
I have finally a working mouse:
:D
I buzzed the connections at the pins, and as expected, the pinout was completely upside down.

Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Re: ACORN A5000 inbound
Thank you both.
There is still that floppy and IDE issue to solve though.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that a Mini Econet Module made by Ken Lowe from the Stardot forum is now fitted.
I will post some pictures later.

And as promised, here are two pictures of the Mini Econet received from Ken Lowe:
Compact and looking good, thanks to its SMD components perfectly matching the A5000 motherboard.

Re: ACORN A5000 inbound
I'm assuming you're going to try and hook up the 3000 and 5000 using Econet? I ended up removing mine to prevent the Econet networking component from loading at each boot, but then I only have the one machine.

Re: ACORN A5000 inbound
It's more for the sake of having a "complete" machine (= if there's an Econet connector at the rear of the A5000, then it would be stupid not to have Econet fitted...), but I will surely try it to transfer files since I have no Ethernet podule in the A5000.
