@whomper I got y our music files thanks. But is there anything smaller which would show the same problem ?
Years ago I had a SCSI card in my old PC to transfer files to SCSI.. But now I am limited to floppy it seems.. Your file zipped is 206MB.. That's like 143 times to copy a split zip over to my SCSI drive via floppy
EDIT:
I will see if I can setup a new CF card with a later drive letter to see if that avoids the odd problems I get..
EDIT2:
Nope, 2 CF cards I know work, and HD12 doesn't list anything on the IDE bus. I've had odd issues like this before :( But if I boot from IDE, the SCSI drive is found, but I think theres some odd conflict because of 2 C: drives.. But in anycase, that's not going to work then :(
EDIT3:
Now wondering as it used to be setup for CD.. maybe I can use a CD to get stuff over.. question is.. what did I do with my CDROM drive
EDIT4:
Found it, but seems I never used it with another SCSI drive as cables are totally different
 :sigh:

Re: Falcon + CUBASE AUDIO + SCSI - Experiences?
Trying to get my IDE to be found in HD12 and I am confused :(
In device scan it seems to be found..
But not in this list ?
So how am I supposed to access the IDE drive as its not listed any where for me to partition or anything :stars:
EDIT
So I clicked auto configuring, installed HD driver to C: rebooted.. Now my SCSI drives start from G: and I have 3 IDE drives which I can't open

Go up to Tools, I think, and there'll be an Auto Configure or similar. You may not be set up to read the other bus from the one you're booting on.exxos wrote: 19 Sep 2025 14:49 So how am I supposed to access the IDE drive as its not listed any where for me to partition or anything :stars:
Then reboot with the driver you just configured.
...or use EmuTOS.

EDIT: oh, your edit crossed with me. You've got a combination of Windows and GEM partitions. Probably that.
=> EmuTOS

Re: Falcon + CUBASE AUDIO + SCSI - Experiences?
After reboot I then set partition type to TOS/WINDOWS. So now my IDE shows up.. Copied files to it from my PC..
So now waiting for the stuff on the IDE to copy to SCSI.. Hard to say if its locked up at this point as the files are a fair few MB..
The mouse still moves, but the flickering floppy light on the keyboard has stopped flickering.. I don't see that as a good thing..

Re: Falcon + CUBASE AUDIO + SCSI - Experiences?
Half hour later...
 :sigh:
Why does everything have to be such a farce all the time :cussing: :headbang:
EDIT:
So I clicked cancel and then it copied a few (presumingly smaller files) then stalled again at 48 files to go.
So maybe something doesn't like copying big files.. But I dont know if its a read or write problem at this point
EDIT2:
I copied files one at a time, and it stopped copying at a ~8.7MB file. The one which did copy before was ~ 6.5MB
I suspect its a write problem to SCSI. The IDE card lights up for a few seconds then nothing happens. I copied the files off the IDE card on my PC and they copied off fine.

Re: Falcon + CUBASE AUDIO + SCSI - Experiences?
Been looking on the old internet for Falcon and SCSI issues. Found this thread on AF but more about cosmosex
https://atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=30390
One comment hinted about trying a 4MB ST ram card.. So tried that, and now the files seem to copy fine :WTF:
It seems to copy in chunks, as the IDE flashes, then I hear the SCSI active, then IDE active etc..
Tried a different 14MB ST ram card, same problem. I swapped the simm used to another adapter which has 4MB switch.. I deleted and copied all the files.. now it copies without issue (but need to verify copy was good really next) But behaviour totally changed over using a 14MB card !

Re: Falcon + CUBASE AUDIO + SCSI - Experiences?
Is this with DFB1X and TT-RAM on the go? All versions of HDDriver before 11.4(ish) would not honour the FRB cookie for SCSI on a Falcon.
From v11.40 onwards you could use AB40FIX (before would crash out). From v12 it's meant to work natively.
Probably best to disable DFB1X (or at least don't declare TT-RAM) if you have it in.

Re: Falcon + CUBASE AUDIO + SCSI - Experiences?
Wow @exxos that sounds like a long journey. The bluescsi interface is so easy to work with as I can mount the SD card images on my Mac and transfer files (provided it is partitioned as TOS/Windows.
Small discovery. I found out that with DFB1X and clock V3, if I configured V3 with no delay, I am getting digital bit crushing really fast, however if I add the delay, it takes a while before digital bit crushing starts.

DFB1X hasn't been physically fitted all day. I am using the latest HD12 as well.Badwolf wrote: 19 Sep 2025 17:26 Is this with DFB1X and TT-RAM on the go? All versions of HDDriver before 11.4(ish) would not honour the FRB cookie for SCSI on a Falcon.
