BTW if your network card has a BNC port on it, it's likely to be pretty old!
Hopefully you can pick up another NIC quite cheaply and see how that tests?

Is it a 10mbps ethernet or does it connect at 100? Many routers don't support 10mbps.

It may be, but why does the same result happen if I connect it to another computer (with a normal or cross cable)?

Because your computers don't support 10mbps also?

According to this website (and comparing the photos) your card is a 10mbps card:

I'd guess your MacBook or Win PC also only support 100 Mb upwards, hence the issue.

While waiting for some components to complete the Raven, I focused on some video blocks and artifacts. I don't have the manual for the video card in question, but, after some experiments, I discovered that by moving jumper 3 from position 1-2 to 2-3 Emutos is solid as a rock and some artifacts that I had by moving the icons disappeared, at the expense of performance. Mint always gives me problems but I'm waiting for the 060 rev.6 for the conclusions...

Now I'm really curious what jumper 3 actually is but finding the manual is probably close to impossible :)

The ET4000's usually have an IRQ2/9 enable as well as a Zero-Waitstate (or sometimes called "Turbo") jumper.
Based on the location I'd place my bet on JP4 being the IRQ jumper.

It looks like your card has unusually slow 100ns DRAM so perhaps JP3 was the 0WS jumper and position 2-3 introduced a needed waitstate?

This is a very similar board by the same make:

Could this be confirming you are correct? search in the text for "Wait State" and he talks about JP3!

It is likely that JP3 refers to the wait state. I'm not sure if that's the problem, but after changing it I no longer had those problems (artifacts, frozen window when opened, frozen screen until turned off) when using Emutos.
