Hissing and whistling in the STe audio output

Your goal was to try the fix presented at the very top of this thread, right?
And instead of using some wires, you just used spare LEDs legs, as it's equivalent?

The wiring for that pop/crackle was fine, I followed those instructions no problem.

The DAC noise board instructions suggest header pins, and I have stacks of them but I couldn't work in the space available and get them all soldered. So I took some component legs, attached them one by one, threaded them through the noise fix boards, then soldered those in place.

Has anyone tried removing those clocked dithering filter things to see if it makes any odds?

Photo of my installation of the DAC filter PCB in a TT (It removed all the whining/whistling noise... I used to hear it even when moving the mouse across the screen!)
